History | Starboard Beam
Within these sketches, Marine Architect Ray Richards would create a vessel of Old World charm.
Mr. Richards and the orginal owners chose a 48’ Sitka Spruce mast & the boom not only for its strength and flexibility, but to adhere to bygone days when wooden masts ruled the seas. So, while sitting in the water, the Black Watch commands a 55' bridge clearance. Fortunately, here at her new home, she doesn't have to worry about that... no bridges!
